The BatteryProtect can be programmed to engage/disengage at various voltages using the seven-segment display and the programming pin. Typical settings are 11V disconnect for 12V systems and 22V for 24V systems. Wiring involves connecting the device in series with the positive load line.
Connect the programming pin to the negative terminal (or battery minus) briefly to enter programming mode. Use the seven-segment display to select voltage thresholds. Detailed instructions are in the manual.
E1 indicates an undervoltage shutdown—the battery voltage dropped below the disconnect threshold and the unit turned off loads. This is normal protection behavior.
To set the low voltage disconnect, program the desired voltage threshold using the programming pin. The unit will disconnect loads when voltage falls below that level and automatically reconnect when voltage rises above the reconnect threshold.
