Abbey Bike Tools Shimano Crank Lockring Tool (SCT)

Finally a tool that fits Shimano 12-speed lockrings without stripping. The build quality is superb and the grip is non-slip. I’ve used it multiple times and it works flawlessly. A bit pricey but worth it.

The tool works great, but you have to align it properly to avoid damage. Took me a couple tries to get it right. Once you do, it’s smooth sailing. Good tool overall.

If you service Shimano drivetrains, you need this. It’s robust, precise, and makes lockring removal a breeze. I love the knurled handle—gives good grip. Excellent addition to my workshop.

Does the job perfectly, but $18.50 is a lot for a simple metal bit. However, it’s a specialty tool and quality is high. If you’re a pro, it’s a must-have; for occasional use, you might look for cheaper options.

The tool fits and works, but the handle is short, making it hard to generate torque. I had to use a cheater bar (carefully) to loosen a stubborn lockring. It should have been designed with a longer handle.

I was skeptical about spending this much, but it’s genuinely well-made. The fit on the lockring is precise and there’s no wobble. It feels great in the hand. Very satisfied.

The tool does what it’s supposed to, but I thought it would have a spinning cap for finger pressure like some other brands. It doesn’t, so you have to push with your hand. Not a big deal, but a minor oversight.

I’ve gone through several other brands that slipped or rounded. This one is machined perfectly and grips the lockring with zero play. It’s a joy to use. Highly recommended for any mechanic.
