Finally a chain checker that works for flat top.

For my 1x drivetrain, this gives me a clear reading. The angle is better than the traditional park tool. I've been using it for a few months and it's very consistent.

The tool is well built and works as intended. It has two gauges for different chain types. You need to insert it correctly to get an accurate reading. I like it, but it took me a bit of practice.

I was using a cheap chain checker that told me my chain was fine, but this Abbey tool showed it was actually worn past 0.5%. Replaced it just in time and my cassette looks great. Well worth the investment.

It does its job, but I feel you can get a decent chain checker for less. The build quality is great, but it's not revolutionary. The discount helped.

I've been using SRAM flat top chains, and most checkers don't fit them properly. This one does, and the readout is easy to understand. I've recommended it to my riding buddies.

It didn't sit well on my 12-speed Shimano chain. Maybe I have a wrong version? Disappointed.
